Pan-Orthodox Communion of Clergy

Kontakion – Tone 8

No one could describe the Word of the Father; but when He took flesh from you, O Theotokos, He accepted to be described,  and restored the fallen image to its former beauty.

The Pre-Communion Prayer

We confess and proclaim our salvation in word and images.

Communion

I believe, O Lord, and confess that Thou art truly the Christ, the Son of the living God, who didst come into the world to save sinners, of whom I am first. And I believe that this is truly Thine own immaculate Body and that this is truly Thine own precious Blood…

Not unto judgment not unto condemnation by my partaking of Thy holy mysteries, O Lord, but unto the healing of soul and body.

Procession at the Solea

Following the Prophetic sayings, both submitting to the Apostolic advices and being fundamentally instructed by the Gospel accounts, we do feast the day of Restoration of the Holy Icons.

On this day, with prayers and entreaties, both rejoicing and exulting together, let us shout forth Psalms and Hymns. I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

The Troparion of Orthodoxy

… To those who confess the advent of the incarnate Word of God, by word of mouth, in heart and in mind, as well as in writing and Icons, eternal be their memory.

Memory eternal.

Troparion - tone 2

Troparion – Tone 2

We venerate Your most pure image, O Good One, and ask forgiveness of our transgressions, O Christ God…

Of Your own will You were pleased to ascend the Cross in the flesh to deliver Your creatures from bondage to the enemy. Therefore with thanksgiving we cry aloud to You: You have filled all with joy, O our Savior, by coming to save the world.

Everyone received a gift – Icon of All Saints of North America.
