Kh. Loretta Memory Eternal

Kh. Loretta Wilson, beloved wife of Fr. Athanasius Wilson left this earth on August 25 at 3PM. May her memory be eternal.


Interment took place All Saints Orthodox Christian Church (6004 S Fairfax Rd, Bloomington, IN).

The funeral service was conducted at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 30, at St. George Orthodox Christian Church. 

A wake (prayer vigil) was kept from 4 PM to 8 PM on Monday, Aug. 29, at St. George Orthodox Christian Church (10748 E. 116th Street, Fishers). Family and friends paid their respects and offered their condolences. The service of the Trisagion for the departed, as a part of the wake, held at 7:30 p.m.

Kh. Loretta was a faithful servant of God and partner with Fr. Athanasius in their ministry, and she will also be missed by the many who saw her as a second mother in the churches that she and Fr. Athanasius served.

They were faithful members of St. George Orthodox Church in Indianapolis from 1976 to 1994, of All Saints in Bloomington, IN from 1994 to 2006 and of St. Mary Church in Greenwood from 2007 to the present.

Kh. Loretta is particularly remembered as one who was "full of grace and truth," selfless in a way that did not come from this world.
